Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of all classical dancing. We follow the syllabus for the Imperial Society Of Teachers of Dancing and offer classes from Pre-School upwards to advanced levels. Ballet is a fun and highly rewarding discipline which will benefit your child in different ways. The unique nature of ballet provides dancers with muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance as well as flexibility and balance. Ballet also develops a grace and poise that extends beyond the dance studio.

Jazz

Jazz has become one of the most popular dance styles in recent years, mainly due to its popularity on television shows, movies, music videos and commercials. Jazz is an energetic form of dance that showcases a dancer’s individual style and originality as they interpret and execute moves and steps in their own way. Fun to watch, this type of dancing brings together unique movements and fancy footwork with big leaps and quick turns. To excel in Jazz, a background in ballet is helpful as it encourages grace, balance and core strength.

Tap

This has evolved as an American dance form, popularised throughout the world. It is most generally associated with the films and musicals of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.The dancer uses their feet to strike the floor, beating out different rhythms, with dancers wearing tap shoes which have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound. Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on stage in musicals.
